Lawrence, New Jersey
The School of Education at The College of New Jersey was a new building that was attached to an existing parking structure. The exterior elements of the project were to integrate with the campus master plan, provide a rich entry and pooling space, incorporate sculpture that reflected the work in the School of Education and provide a study and mingling space. The materials used were brick and limestone to match the building along with blue stone accents. This was a LEED guided project so the plants are drought tolerant. The paving for the drop-off are pervious with numerous shade trees incorporated for area comfort and storm water collection.
